Who is this course for?
This course has been designed for personnel who are required to fill the role of Logistics for an incident using AIIMS.
What will you learn?
This course will review the scope, role and responsibilities of the functional area, but most importantly it will look at how to complete key tasks during a shift in the role of Logistics Officer.
This course will take about 2 hours of your time.
Course content
Working in Logistics Review the role and responsibilities of this functional area, including units that can be activated within the section. |
Approach to logistics Considerations for effective logistics at an incident. |
Determining logistics needed Identifying initial and ongoing requirements of other functional areas, and how needs can be met. |
Using pre-planning Accessing and using pre-existing arrangements for logistics at an incident. |
Developing logistics plans Creating specific plans to support a range of logistic focus areas and support the Incident Action Plan.

Liaising with suppliers Sourcing suppliers of resources and maintaining effective communication throughout the incident. |
Tracking resources Maintaining an accurate record of resources obtained for the incident and their return when no longer required. |
Demobilising resources Why meetings should be run, preparing for and running the meeting, sharing information after the meeting.
